Black Tourbillon
All pearls are created equal – but some are more equal than others. Each natural pearl is formed when a small piece of dust from the debris of the ocean is stuck inside of a mollusk shell. Over time, this small irritant is coated with a layer upon layer of nacre (commonly called the mother of pearl). This process can take several years before the small bubble is coated with nacre saliva back into the sea.
Because this process can take so long "pearls" have been developed. While the exterior of the pearl nacre is sstill the same natural pearls, the core consists of a rapid binding agent that allows the pearls to grow in only 4 months old. Cultured pearls appear identical to natural pearls, therefore, that natural pearls are very rare and almost entirely given way to the cultured pearls.
Most of the pearls, either freshwater or saltwater, are outlined.
As you can guess, comes from saltwater pearls salt water bodies like oceans. They tend to be rounder than their freshwater cousins and less "pointy" due to abrasion of salt in the nacre. Saltwater pearls come in a variety of colors ranging from dark gray to very light pinks and creams and even yellow.
Pearls salt water can become very large, but the price is not entirely based on the size. Many large pearls have surface irregularities that lead them to be less expensive than smaller, more perfect counterparts.
Overall, the difficulties associated with any growing project in open sea that prices of saltwater pearls higher compared with the pearls of a lake or other source of fresh water.
Freshwater pearls come in a variety of colors including pink, lilac and peach. As they tend to lighter colors are also very often dyed in more exotic colors like blues, browns, and even coal black.
